Urban Silo I was very impressed with this week's Site of the Week as soon as I saw it . . . or at least as soon as it got done loading! Be aware that it DOES take a moment to load, but it's totally worth the wait! The navigational structure itself is worth the visit! |

Easybit If there's one thing that really stands out in my mind about this week's Site of the Week, it's the animated transitions between pages. In fact, when I first saw the site, I just clicked back and forth on the links for a while, enamored with the simple, yet eye-catching animations. Maybe I'm weird, I don't know, but check it out! |

Gallery Incomplet No, I didn't spell it wrong. This week's site of the week is, in fact, spelled without the ending 'e'. This site is Flash developer Grant Skinner's personal playground. Grant was at the FlashForward convention in Seattle a couple weeks ago giving a lecture on experimental Flash projects that he's been working on. Gallery Incomplet is where he stashes all of these experiments. So give them a look, and let him know what you think. After all, he DID win a FlashForward Film Festival award for his work! |

OkayDave.com If anything, this week's site of the week deserves to be noticed just because it's creator, Dave Werner, spent so much time putting it together--which will become immediately obvious when you view the site. Okaydave.com is Dave Werner's personal portfolio, and in my opinion, it's everything a portfolio should be. Not only does this site showcase Dave's work, but it also has a personality of its own. This website showcases a WHO, not just a WHAT!

KAMIKADZE Just when it seems that all creative ideas for the internet have been depleted, a site like Kamikadze comes along and restores my faith in web design. The design and navigation of the site revolves around a very simple idea, but it's done very effectively and creatively. Check it out. |

GLACEAU.COM Who would have thought that a website about water could be so vibrant and interesting? The creators of the Glaceau website did a great job of communicating their idea of "a fresh new approach to water". This entertaining website is a great example of how your site design can (and should) effectively represent the values and ideals of your product. |

KINETIC SINGAPORE Astounding, invigorating, and galactically delicious!
During my weekly routine of scouring the internet for our "Site of the Week", I stumbled across what has potentially become The Best Website Ever Created in the History of the Known Universe and its Surrounding Celestial Entities!
I hope I haven't overstated the profound enormity of my aforementioned discovery, but it cannot be stressed enough that this website is--if I may borrow a phrase from a noted philosopher--"flippin sweet"!
Words fail me . . . Just go! |

stephaneguillot.com This week's Flash Site of the Week award goes to Stephane Guillot, a very talented web designer and illustrator from France. (Don't worry, the website has an English version as well.) This site is very cartoonish in nature and is very well put together. The animations are very ingenuitive and very entertaining. |

CRYSTAL PLANETS Crystal Planets is the personal website of designer/developer David Fox. So check out his website, and let him know what you think! |

TOPSHELF GRAPHICS Topshelf Graphics is a multimedia firm that specializes in graphic design. From logo creation to 3D animation, Topshelf does it all, and does it well! Check out their amazing Flash website, and keep a pen handy, because you might want to take notes. I love the vertical navigation bar that moves back and forth across the stage: simple, yet elegant and effective. |
 |
KNI KNI is an interactive design firm with an impressive portfolio and a stunning website. Their simple, fluid design epitomizes one of Flash's most impressive capabilities: continuity. Instead of a page refresh, where you momentarily lose track of what is where on the page, with Flash, you can create fluid transitions from one section of your website to another. KNI's website uses this concept perfectly. You click on a section of their website, and you watch that section expand. There's no hassle, no confusion, and you always know exactly what's going on. Plus, the site just looks cool! |
 |
PIXELGASOLINE.COM You can't help but be impressed with a site like pixelgasoline.com! Pixel Gasoline is a company that specializes (as you'll quickly discover) in creating 3D websites and animations for various types of multimedia projects. They also do logo design and much more.
And to top it all off, they have one of the coolest websites I've ever seen! I never thought a walk around a gas station could be so entertaining. The atmosphere of this website is amazing. They go out of their way to make you feel like you're really there. |
 |
DEFT CREATIVE Their online portfolio is still pretty small, but their Flash design is exquisite! I sense good things in the future for this web design firm out of the UK. So check out their site, and let them know how awesome they are. |
