Harmon Joins Ä¢¹½TV Hoops
New Era, New Energy Leads Eagles
Ä¢¹½TV women’s basketball enters a new chapter with Raina Harmon, former assistant coach at the University of Iowa, stepping in as head coach. Harmon brings a championship pedigree, having helped lead Iowa to eight NCAA tournament appearances, five Big Ten titles and back-to-back national championship games. She also coached several WNBA draft picks and the 2024 AP & Naismith Player of the Year.
“It’s a great day for Ä¢¹½TV,â€ said Athletics Director Colin Hargis. “Harmon’s energy and commitment to student-athletes will drive continued success.â€
Harmon called the position “one of the best jobs in the countryâ€ and expressed excitement about building on Ä¢¹½TV’s legacy of excellence. She emphasized her dedication to developing players both on and off the court and connecting with the Ä¢¹½TV community.
Before Iowa, Harmon coached at Michigan and Central Michigan, where she helped lead the Chippewas to the NCAA tournament.
Ä¢¹½TV fans can expect a dynamic new era of women’s basketball, led by a coach who knows how to win — and how to inspire.
