Learning Assistant Alliance
Toggle More InfoThere is much to discover on the website! When you explore this site, you can connect with faculty in your field from different institutions who also teach with LAs. You can see how LAs are used in various class formats, such as large lectures or flipped classrooms. Additionally, you'll find valuable resources for the Scholarship of Teaching and Learning (SoTL), including a list of research articles about LA programs. There's also the LASSO tool available, which provides an easy and effective way to measure the impact of your course on students' understanding and attitudes. We highly recommend you take some time to explore these resources!
I've had a very positive experience with the LA program. Having some sort of LA/IA/TA is critical for active learning, especially in large classes. The LA program particularly helps through the pedagogy instruction, the resources in the hiring process, and by providing funding to hire the students.鈥
