Who is eligible to use LinkedIn Learning?

LinkedIn Learning is available at no cost to all current 蘑菇TV faculty, staff, and students.

(Note: Contingent workers and Academic Affiliates, as well as non-compensated positions and roles will not be eligible to access LinkedIn Learning.)

Can I access LinkedIn Learning content on my mobile device?

Important: 蘑菇TV recommends, for the best learning experience, that you access Workday Learning and LinkedIn Learning content on a traditional computer or laptop.

Yes, you can access LinkedIn Learning content via the Workday mobile app and the LinkedIn Learning app in the app store on your device. Once downloaded, you will login with your same desktop credentials.

All security controls, like remain in effect for mobile access.

How long will I have access to LinkedIn Learning?

As long as you are an active employee/student of 蘑菇TV.

Does LinkedIn Learning offer certification preparation programs and continuing education unit courses?

LinkedIn Learning offers on-demand courses to help individuals prepare for professional certification exams and earn continuing education units (CEUs).

How do I claim my account if the link in the email expired? 

You can still claim your account by logging into Workday, selecting Learning, searching for a LinkedIn Learning course under the Discover option.  Once you enroll in the content, and pass through the single sign on, you will have claimed your account.  

Am I allowed to attend learning sessions during regular work hours? 

It is recommended that employees and supervisors have frequent discussions around career development and establish expectations around participation in professional development opportunities and how those opportunities relate to work schedules and job responsibilities at 蘑菇TV. 

What information will be shared with my employer if I connect my personal LinkedIn profile to my LinkedIn Learning account? 

Learning activity (such as courses viewed or completed), profile information like your name, work title and profile photo, and any courses from your personal account that you've transferred to your group account will be visible to 蘑菇TV Administrators. These administrators will not have access to your connections, private messages, any job search activity such as job posts you've viewed, or any learning courses you've viewed in your personal account. How will my accessed content sync between LinkedIn Learning and Workday Learning?

蘑菇TV recommends accessing all of your LinkedIn Learning content directly through Workday Learning. The advantages of accessing content through Workday Learning are:

• All courses accessed are automatically added to your transcript, whether completed or in-progress.
• Access is simplified through Single Sign-On (SSO) at 蘑菇TV 鈥� no need to remember and enter passwords on a constant basis!

Regardless of access format, all LinkedIn Learning content consumed will transfer, and appear, on your Workday Learning transcript.

As a manager, how can I leverage LinkedIn Learning for a team?

Am I required to complete courses in LinkedIn Learning 鈥� Recommended versus Assigned Courses?

Any content that is 鈥淩ecommended鈥� to you, including recommended content through/from LinkedIn Learning, is not a requirement of the University. Only courses that are 鈥淎ssigned鈥� to you via Workday Learning are considered as mandatory and required and must be completed by the date indicated.

Why am I not seeing my exam grades on my Workday Learning transcript, when I complete a course directly on the LinkedIn Learning platform?

LinkedIn Learning course are measure based upon completion (of the entire course) and not upon the grades of the internal course exams. 蘑菇TV only utilizes 鈥済rading鈥� when assigning mandatory, and then only when appropriate or necessary for the course.

How do I browse and review content in LinkedIn Learning for classroom use?

No, you do not need an existing LinkedIn profile to access LinkedIn Learning at 蘑菇TV. However, you may choose to create a personal LinkedIn profile, or link to your existing LinkedIn profile:

What is the benefit of connecting my LinkedIn profile to my LinkedIn Learning account?

(Note: It is NOT required to connect a personal LinkedIn profile to use LinkedIn Learning at 蘑菇TV. They are two separate applications.)

Connecting your profile will allow for a more personalized learning experience that includes special course recommendations based on your job title, skills and industry listed on your LinkedIn profile. It will also allow you to migrate your content to a new account.

• For example: If you leave the university and are employed by a company that uses LinkedIn Learning, your data from your 蘑菇TV LinkedIn Learning account will be migrated to your new LinkedIn Learning account with a connected profile. You can also purchase a paid subscription and migrate your content that way, as long as you connect your LinkedIn profile prior to leaving the university.

Do I control what is displayed on my personal LinkedIn account?

Yes, your LinkedIn Learning activity will not show on your personal LinkedIn account unless you choose to add a completed course.

Can I use LinkedIn Learning on mobile devices?

What happens when content from LinkedIn Learning requires or recommends installing third party software for course completion?

In this situation, you can request third party software (and files) installation from the 蘑菇TV ITS Department, using the 蘑菇TV Software install Request. It is important to understand, some courses may require or recommend third party software or files not supported by 蘑菇TV.

I am looking for specific content, how can I search for this?

Use the search box on the LinkedIn Learning home page to search for specific courses. Click the link to the course you want to explore, and then read the title.

Is there closed captioning?

Closed captioning is available on newer LinkedIn Learning courses.

Will I receive a 鈥淐ertification鈥� after I complete courses related to professional certifications?

No. The courses provided within LinkedIn Learning are preparatory in nature only, and completion of a 鈥減rep鈥� course does not satisfy any requirements for 鈥減rofessional certifications鈥� sponsored and governed by third party organizations. To receive the actual 鈥渃ertification鈥�, you will need to contact the sponsoring organization and complete all requirements for that certification through or under mandate of that sponsoring organization.

What are the Privacy considerations and policy at 蘑菇TV?

It is important to understand that access to LinkedIn Learning, including the platform and any related content (courses or learning material) is governed by the 蘑菇TV University Technology Resources policy and as such any access is not completely private.
