Fei Da is a chemical oceanographer and Earth system modeler. Originally from the eastern edge of the Tibetan Plateau in China, he completed his Ph.D. at the Virginia Institute of Marine Science in 2023 and joined The Water School in 2026. His expertise centers on biogeochemical cycles across terrestrial, coastal, and oceanic systems, with a focus on the impacts of global change and local human activities. He integrates numerical modeling, data mining and analytics, and field surveys to advance understanding of Earth system processes.
