Janet Kernan, PGA is an accomplished PGA Golf Professional and golf industry executive with more than three decades of experience in golf operations, general management, membership development, and player growth. Known for her strategic leadership and strong communication skills, Janet has successfully driven revenue through innovative golf shop merchandising, player development programs, events, and membership initiatives across public, private, and semi-private facilities nationwide.
Janet has held senior leadership roles including General Manager, Head Golf Professional, Membership Director, and First Assistant Golf Professional at clubs ranging from high-volume municipal facilities to premier private country clubs. Her background includes overseeing multimillion-dollar operating budgets, developing long-term strategic plans, leading staff development, and increasing membership participation in competitive markets.
A nationally recognized advocate for growing the game, Janet is an expert in new player development and has spoken at multiple PGA of America conferences. She has served on PGA of America national committees, earned multiple Section awards, and contributed to the creation of player development curricula and instructional resources. Janet holds a Bachelor of Science in Retail Management from Purdue University and completed PGA Business Schools with top-tier distinction.
