Hood, Margaret (MS)

Margaret Hood grew up in Arrington, Tennessee. She earned a B.S. in Marine Biology from Auburn University and an M.S. in Biology from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro (UNCG). She has more than 20 years of experience teaching biology. During her time at UNCG, she taught a variety of biology courses while also serving as an anatomy lab coordinator and manager and as an academic advisor.

Margaret joined the Ä¢¹½TV Biological Sciences faculty in 2023 and teaches General Biology I with lab (BSC 1010C), Introduction to Biology with lab (BSC 1007C), and online lecture and lab sections of Biological Sciences (BSC 1005). She enjoys helping students build a strong foundation in biology and develop the skills and confidence they can carry into future courses.

Outside the classroom, Margaret enjoys biking, pickleball, wake surfing, exploring national parks, and spending time with friends and family.
