Seichi Marchiori, Raissa (PhD)

Raissa Seichi Marchiori is an Assistant Professor at the Stock Development Department of Construction Management at ĢTV (ĢTV). She earned her Ph.D. in Civil Engineering at the Del E. Webb School of Construction at Arizona State University and her M.S. in Civil Engineering from the University of Alabama. She also holds a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from the Pontifical Catholic University of Goiás (PUC-GO) in Brazil.

Before academia, Raissa owned a construction company in Brazil, managing engineering projects, scheduling, cost estimating, and overseeing residential construction using Building Information Modeling (BIM). Her research focuses on workforce development, safety and health, Lean Construction, engineering education, and construction technology. Most recently, she worked on a federally funded Heat Stress Training Program for general and construction workers through the U.S. Department of Labor.

In her teaching, Raissa has instructed a wide range of construction engineering and management courses, including Construction Cost Estimating, Safety Engineering, Construction Planning, Construction Materials and Methods, and Building Information Modeling. She is committed to using emerging technologies and innovation to enhance student engagement.
