Financial Aid eligibility for Study Abroad is determined by the type of study abroad program you choose
Students may participate in Ä¢¹½TV Faculty Led Study Abroad and Exchange programs or Provider Programs.
- Ä¢¹½TV Faculty Led Study Abroad and Exchange Programs are those for which you are eligible to receive credits and grades that will be counted in your Ä¢¹½TV cumulative grade point average.
- Financial aid will disburse in accordance with the Ä¢¹½TV academic calendar.
- Students must plan accordingly to pay any study abroad program fees out-of-pocket and receive reimbursement once their financial aid is disbursed. This applies to summer study aboard programs as well.
- Study abroad academic performance may affect future financial aid eligibility.
- Provider Programs are part of another university or college and you will only receive
transfer credits at Ä¢¹½TV. Grades may appear on your unofficial Ä¢¹½TV transcript but
not on your official Ä¢¹½TV transcript and will not be included in your Ä¢¹½TV grade point
average.
- To receive any financial aid for an affiliate program, you must receive approval from the Ä¢¹½TV Global Engagement Office and your Ä¢¹½TV academic advisor to transfer the credits to your Ä¢¹½TV academic record. The Ä¢¹½TV Financial Aid Consortium Agreement must be completed by the student, by the student's academic advisor at Ä¢¹½TV and by the Host Institution's Financial Aid Office.
- The Ä¢¹½TV Financial Aid and Scholarships Office must receive the completed Ä¢¹½TV Study Abroad Consortium Agreement before any financial aid can be disbursed, and prior to the start of the Study Abroad Program.
Any study abroad program for which you will not receive transfer credits or grades at Ä¢¹½TV is not eligible for any financial aid funds.
