Obtaining Photoshop
Photoshop is an expensive tool, but if it's in the budget, a license can be bought and shared between two machines for $15/mo.
You can also use VPN or go in-person to a computer lab on campus that has photoshop pre-installed.
Before approaching the alternatives, keep in mind the process will be different and can be tedious when compared to Photoshop which is an All-in-One graphics tool.
